We love our shaving bar. It took a while to get it right, a lot of suds testing. I knew that I didn’t want to use animal-based products such as beef tallow (found in many shaving soaps) or palm oil or anything artificial to enhance suds, so we packed it with mostly shea and cocoa butters. The suds are rich and thick and wonderful.
If you are looking for something similar to artificial shaving foam, this is NOT it. The suds are different. They are natural. And oh how it leaves the skin!!!
We made this soap in a round shape to go together with our ceramic shaving dishes that are hand-crafted locally for us. The bar also fits well into a wide coffee mug.
