I never go anywhere without one of our lip balms in my bag, well that and our Calendula Salve.
I like all 5 types and go through periods of each. In summer, my favourite is Spearmint Eucalyptus. We stopped making our Orange Vanilla lip balm for a while because it was impossible to find the vanilla oleoresin that we were using. That year, it seems that there was a shortage of vanilla. When we found it again from another source, it isn’t the same… it is also lovely but a little sweeter. If you are a fan of our Orange Vanilla lip balm, you will have to try the new version!
Sometimes people ask if we do this in stick or tube format and it is something we have been considering, however we are not into plastic. So, if we find an alternative to plastic push-up sticks, we may try releasing a lip balm in a tube.
When it comes to funny stories or anecdotes, I remember a woman who called our shop for some help in placing an on-line order. She was dying for some of our lip balm. As I like to know, I asked her how she discovered us. Then she told me a great story!! She said that her boss had the most wonderful natural aroma and her office smelled similarly. She figured out it was because of a certain lip balm that her boss used. So, one day, she snuck into her boss’s office and rummaged through the desk until she found the lip balm – OURS!! She copied down the relevant info, searched and found us on line. I still love and enjoy the visual image of this woman sneaking into her boss’s office in desperate pursuit of an aroma of ours…
